Dementia Forward are a charitable organisation who promote the wellbeing of people living with dementia and their carers. They approached Doma Architects to help them to create a permanent location for them to provide their services and carry out their admirable work in the the community as well as provide office accommodation for their staff.
The old methodist chapel was a perfect fit. It had fallen into disrepair and needed a new purpose and lease of life.
We prepared a design that provided the facilities that would enable Dementia Forward to provide its outreach work on the ground floor, and inserted a new first floor into the main Chapel building to provide office accommodation.
The building is now a new central hub to the community and allows Dementia Forward to reach out to the people who need them most.
